Dabaa Marine port

Project Overview

Executive Summary

The Dabaa Marine Port project, launched in 2019 in Dabaa, Matrouh Governorate, Egypt, supports the Nuclear Power Plant Association (NPPA). Featuring a 260-meter gravity block quay wall, the port was built with 1,200 tons of steel, 240,000 cubic meters of concrete, and 2,000,000 tons of rock, ensuring durability and stability. The facility spans 3,000 square meters of built-up area and 190,000 square meters of paved area, optimizing logistics and operations.

Project Description

Dabaa Marine Port is a vital support facility for the NPPA, enhancing the operational capabilities of the nuclear power project. Its robust design withstands natural forces and heavy maritime traffic. Meticulous planning and high-quality materials were utilized to ensure long-term safety and functionality, reflecting a commitment to excellence in construction.

Client Challenge

The NPPA faced the challenge of developing a marine port that meets the specific needs of the nuclear energy sector. This included ensuring structural integrity and capacity to handle substantial materials and equipment while adhering to strict safety and environmental regulations. The goal was to create a reliable port facility for transporting heavy materials with minimal environmental impact.
